Suppose I tell you that the government will design a product and make you buy it. If you say no thanks, that's too bad. The government will decide what you need and what you will buy. If you say you can't afford it, we'll send in government investigators to check, and if they conclude indeed you can't afford it, we'll tax your neighbors and make them subsidize you so you can pay for it. We'll set up a government bureaucracy to monitor and make sure you're cooperating. If they discover you haven't made the purchase, they'll go to your employer and have your wages garnisheed. Let's assume further that total spending for this government-designed and -mandated product accounts for about a fifth of the nation's total economy. The former Soviet Union? Communist China? No, this is the new Hillarycare.

Chain saw artist makes wooden wonders in Berks Co.
WERNERSVILLE, Pa. (AP) — Amid clouds of dust and flying chips, Dean Fox, with a buzzing chain saw in hand, circled, turned and stalked what seemed to be his prey just as if he were about to wrestle an alligator.Instead, Fox was creating one — a wooden sculpture of the fearsome looking reptile made out of a cedar log. Fox worked diligently and continuously, seemingly in a trance, at the heavily wooded grounds of the former historic site of the Galen Hall Hotel on South Mountain, South Heidelberg Township."We're going to put the alligator by the pond," said Tom Masano Sr., 90, longtime Berks County car dealer, eyeing Fox's craftsmanship and seemingly in an artistic trance of his own.Apparently, the South Mountain woodlands are perfect for such trances. They inspire the enchanted visions of carved wood nymphs, hawks, eagles, herons, raccoons, ruffed grouse and a meditating woman situated on a rock in front of a 95-by-65-foot pond, 2 to 10 1/2 feet deep in spots, filled with fish and fed by four cold-water springs. It is a place to dream big, as big as a giant family of cedar people, carved from dead trees in a 50-acre cedar forest, where a sculptured man stands 22 feet tall, his wife 18 feet, their son 12 feet and the family dog about 5 feet. And it is also a place where imaginary kings can reign on an ornate, wooden throne, carved from the stump of an old, diseased poplar tree."Well, this is my hobby ...
Bulls banish memories of Saltergate horror show
We have to look at what we do at home with the way that teams come to us. "Now we feel that, with the pace we have up front, we can afford to sit a little deeper and keep a better shape and play on the counter-attack a little more. "It seems to suit us away from home so we just tried to tinker with it a little bit for the home games. Fortunately, we have had a great result today, scored two, kept a clean sheet which always pleases me, and it is a great result for us." Hereford, with their regular central midfield pairing of Ben Smith and Toumani Diagouraga both sidelined due to injury and replaced by Kris Taylor and Sam Gwynne, took the lead from their first real attack. Taylor's cross was flicked on by Clint Easton and Sherjill MacDonald worked the ball past goalkeeper Michael Jordan from close range.

We love our pets, but just like humans, dogs and cats have a big impact on the environment. Check out these innovative green pet product recommendations from Prevention magazine. Every year, 10 million tons of animal waste ends up in landfills. Even when it is left on the ground, the waste can seep into the ground water … which is dangerous because pet waste is full of pathogens. Flushable Pet Pick-Up Bags The most eco-friendly way to dispose of dog waste is to flush it down the toilet so it does not end up in landfills. A dog lover in Wisconsin invented the flushable pet pick up bag. It is made out of meltable polyvinyl alcohol film, an environmentally friendly, non-toxic sister to the compound that makes up Elmer's glue. The bags will dissolve when flushed down the toilet or degrade quickly if buried in the back yard.
