I know some people really like the previews, so may be we were out of line. On the other hand, I sort of felt like he jumped the gun telling us to be quiet before the movie ever began. I'm sort of lost here, does anyone know proper theater etiquette? J Respond to Jeff's blog here: UPDATE ON 1/30/08Hi everybody and thanks for all the responses! There are so many I can't answer them all, except the ones that need to be directly addressed. In a nutshell, there really doesn't seem to be a hard and fast rule here. With some saying my friends and I were rude and others saying the guy in front of me jumped the gun. JWell Jeff I guess it depends on the theatre. Here in Phillips I don't hear people talking much before, during, or after the movie.
Like, OMG! Chevy Goes Green With the Jonas Brothers!
Yes, they're huge — like High School Musical big, but we're not usually ones to cover the Jonas Brothers everyday since, you know, we're a bit older. We're more into the OMG 90210 reunion with Kelly and Dylan! Unfortunately looking at Luke Perry makes me feel old. Thankfully Jennie Garth still looks fabulous - must have been all that dancing. Adorable Abigail is always a favorite since seeing her just brings a smile to our faces. Kate Beckinsale was also at the event at Disney but she was covering up her pretty face more than normal this time around. Bella wants to know, do you love or hate Kate's look? Either way, she doesn't look all that thrilled to be green with Chevy. For a lot more pictures from the event which includes a Baldwin, Jim Belushi, Wayne Brady and more just read more .
The Listening Cure
Audrey Reid, a 36-year-old from Dundee, Scotland, says medication slowed her thinking and rendered her powerless against bullying by her voices. They made sexually demeaning comments and, when she tried to make coffee, convinced her she was brewing poison. But their effect is not always destructive, and HVN encourages its members to form relationships with them. Reid says four of her seven voices calm her down during stressful situations, help her assess people she meets, and remind her what to buy at the grocery store. One which she regards as that of herself as a child even helped her successfully confront another, which she says mimics a man who molested her when she was 8 years old. "I'm not a confrontational person, so I needed her there," she says, noting that while the abuser's voice still occasionally criticizes her, for the most part "he's been put in his place." Voice hearers must navigate a society that often views them as freaks and potential criminals: Bullimore says he's been spat upon, called a "psycho" and had his face slashed with a broken vase by people who know of his condition.

New Nike Sneaker Targets Jocks, Greens, Wall Street
The target audience for the latest edition of Nike Inc.'s landmark Air Jordan shoe is probably more concerned with its sleek styling than its carbon footprint. So when the Air Jordan XX3 is unveiled at the NBA All-Star Game festivities this weekend, sneakerheads probably won't pay much attention to what really distinguishes the shoe from its predecessors: the near absence of chemical-based glues and an outsole made of recycled material. The Beaverton, Ore., company's new sneaker is neither the first nor the only shoe in the industry to be touted as "green." For Nike, though, the Air Jordan XX3 is at the forefront of a broader effort that is intended to please not just environmentalists and jocks but also Wall Street. It represents a systemic shake-up of the company that is supposed to result in manufacturing operations that are both carbon neutral and cheaper.
